Art is an integral part of the beauty and truth in our world. It is all around us, from grand old museums to online advertising and even a teenager's text. My goal in teaching art is to help students develop their own unique tastes in art and understand how historical events, faith, and politics have influenced artistic expression. My classes consist of both lecture sessions for learning and practical lessons where students can explore and experiment with different art materials. Students will have the opportunity to paint, sketch, sculpt, and more. We will view lots of art from numerous artists and embrace the mantra: "You don't have to like it, but you should consider it!"

The art examples shown will be suitable for the age and grade level of the students.

History will satisfy a full-year high school Fine Art or Fine Art elective. An Honors version of this class is available.
Supplies - I can supply a Student Art Kit for an additional fee. This will be discussed prior to class.

Class Fee/Length/School Year - All of my Art and Art History classes are $25 per 90-minute class. A full-year class runs for 30 classes.

Classes may be taken in person (at your home or a facility) or virtually. See Class Information for more details.
